- CANARI is now on YouTube !
On April 11-15th, 2011 CANARI held a 5 day training workshop in Jamaica, to train twenty-four forest managers in facilitation of participatory processes for management of forests, as part of a regional project funded by the FAO entitled "Building capacity for participatory forest management for good governance in the Caribbean region". - On April 1st, 2011, CANARI, in its role as the Regional Implementation Team (RIT) for the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) in the Caribbean Islands Biodiversity Hotspot, launched the call for proposals for the Dominican Republic. See here for more information in Spanish and English.
- CANARI meeting of the Action Research Learning Group (ARLG) working on Building civil society capacity in conservation in the Caribbean United Kingdom Overseas Territories, March 21st-25th, 2011.
- CANARI, with funding from the JB Fernandes Memorial Trust, is implementing a project to improve people’s quality of life in six rural communities in Trinidad and Tobago, through supporting the development of small businesses based on the sustainable use of the natural resources. As part of this project, a Community Expo will be held on Friday 20th May 2011, at the Fondes Amandes Community Re-forestation project (FACRP), in St. Anns, from 9:00 am, and will be open to the public from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm
